Resources in the Region

The resources in the region are vast.

An industrial work force, with high level competency within many fields, has established the region as the most important process-industry region in Norway.

Natural Gas and Natural Gas Liquids (NGL's e.g.  Propane and Ethane) are available in the region for favourable tariffs.

There are plans for connecting the Industry Parks to the Kårstø plant via a pipeline. Within that infrastructure there will be the ability for transporting steam, nitrogen and CO2This will produce an interdependency between the products, bi-products and new materials throughout the parks.

See more information about Kårsto.

The Haugesund Region is a dynamic business area where processing industry and petro-maritime sectors dominate.  The region has a large cluster of smaller companies, products and services which support industry and makes it attractive to run and establish businesses in the region.
