Energy in Norway Norway is blessed with an abundance of energy from a variety of sources. Not only does it have it's well known hydrocarbons of Oil and Gas, it has renewables as well!
Hydroelectric has been tapped for years in Norway and is the foundation of the modern process industry in Norway. The Kårstø-plant (close to both of the parks) in the Haugesund region is Europe's largest processing plant of its kind in Europe. The Kårstø-plant is the landing point for Natural Gas from the Norwegian continental shelf. Natur
al Gas will be available in both parks. Plans for wind farms onshore and offshore may suggest that Norwaycould be the "battery" for Europe. The planned MET center will provide test facilities for renewable energy production on the island of Karmøy. Locating in Norway means the energy is delivered directly by the country producing it. If you are investing in the long term and your business requires energy and access to Europe then Norway is worth considering.
